On Tuesday, January 6, the Owners’ Counsel of America will honor Sean Hannity & Alan Colmes, of Fox News “Hannity & Colmes,”  by presenting the Crystal Eagle award in recognition of their contributions towards the protection and promotion of  private property rights and exposing eminent domain abuse.  Owners’ Counsel of America,  http://ownerscounsel.com/, is a network of experienced eminent domain and property rights lawyers around the nation.

In the past few years, Hannity & Colmes has brought the topic of eminent domain abuse into the public eye.  Among the stories covered by the show was the story of Johnnie Stevens, a decorated WWII Veteran from Carteret, NJ who fought in his last days to stay in his home. Mr. Stevens was represented by Anthony Della Pelle and Edward McKirdy of McKirdy & Riskin, www.mrod.law, the New Jersey representative member of the Owners’ Counsel of America.  Hannity and Colmes has also featured cases involving attorneys in other states who are representatives of the Owners’ Counsel of America.
